Begging of the Story The Fifth Responsibility:
Thousands of years ago, there was a country in some part of this world. The king of that country was a very kind and compassionate man who took great care of his people. He was always concerned about how to provide them with a prosperous life.
But despite the king's countless efforts, he could not bring harmony and prosperity to his people. The most significant oppression in the country was caused by religious conflicts, where even women, the elderly, and innocent children were not safe. Every day in the land, there were thefts, betrayals, and deceit, and numerous rebellions against the noble king arose from various places. He could hardly manage to suppress these rebellions. Within his own government and among those close to him, many became fierce enemies of the king. The situation was similar for both high-ranking and low-ranking officials throughout the kingdom.
It was not just this kingdom. The same was happening all over the world.
Because of the king's kindness and numerous charitable deeds for his people, he was known in the world as the noble king.
The Noble King's Encounter with the Noble Soul:
It was the noble king's practice to go alone to a completely deserted place in the forests and mountains once in a month, where he would sit in solitude and reflect on the prosperity of his country and all the people in the world. Today, as the noble king walking alone among the jungle and hills, he suddenly heard a voice calling out to him, saying, "Your Majesty." The king looked around but saw no one, which made him even more frightened.
After this, the noble king saw a person dressed in white appear before him. The king became even more scared, but the figure said, "Your Majesty, do not be afraid; I am your very compassionate friend and will always be by your side." The noble king replied, "I do not understand; my fear is overwhelming me."
The noble king asks the noble soul, "Please tell me who you are." The figure replies, "I am one of the other creatures of this world; you can call me a noble soul. Creatures like us cannot be seen by humans unless their Lord wills it. I am appearing to you in human form today because you have become one of the finest beings in this world. Those who strive for the welfare of all humanity to the utmost become very close to their Lord and transform into the best of creations. You are one of those people. That is why our Creator has sent me to you to make your efforts successful."
Good and Evil Souls:
In this part of the story, it is explained about the noble soul and the evil soul's actions.
Noble King - Still, I do not understand what is happening before me.
Noble Soul:- Our Lord has created humans to be the finest creatures among all creations. That is why humans have the potential to be extremely good and extremely evil.
To become a better creature, humans are given inner wisdom, and they also undergo external training. Alongside them, there is a noble soul that calls them towards goodness, leading their lives towards prosperity. On the other hand, there is also an evil soul that calls them towards wrongdoing, leading their lives to destruction.
Despite this, when a person decides to choose goodness, they become a superior creature. In this world, they attain happiness, and even after death, they receive a place of great bliss. If a person decides to choose evil, they become an inferior creature, and their life in this world continues to spiral towards destruction. After death, they are sent to a place of terrible punishment.
Why Do Humans Commit Evil ?
Noble King:-Why did the evil soul come with humans?
Noble Soul:- When our Lord created humans and called them the finest creatures, He commanded all creations to acknowledge humans as superior. Among us, there was one being very close to the Lord who believed that he would be the ruler of the Earth. He told the Lord that he would not recognize humans as superior because, although humans possess the ability to do good, they also have the capacity for evil that could bring destruction to the world and cause great calamity. They would continue to fight amongst themselves throughout their lives.
The Lord replied, 'That is precisely why they are the finest creatures. Even with their ability for evil, they will choose to be good.' Then that being claimed, 'If you allow me to lead humans astray, they will all follow me, and afterward, you will make me the finest of all creations and grant me the rule of the earth.'
The Lord responded, 'What I know, you will never understand. As for your request, I will grant it, but remember, whoever follows your words will surely face destruction on the earth and will go to a place of terrible punishment after death. However, those who continue to be noble creatures will not be influenced by you. They will attain a beautiful life both on earth and life after death.
But some evil individuals may appear prosperous in this world, but they are not as they seem. Their inner conditions will be filled with great troubles. Also among My finest creations, some may face difficulties in this world, but they will embrace those challenges with joy for My sake. In this world, they will attain respect, and even after death, their names and honors will be preserved. They will find an even better place of bliss after death.
The Five Responsibilities for Protecting Humans from Evil and Ensuring a Prosperous Life.
Noble King- How can humans protect themselves from evil, or how can they avoid wrongdoing?
Noble Soul: Our Lord created humans to be the finest creatures so that when they come into this world, they can live prosperous lives and continue to do so even after death. For this reason, humans must ensure that the evil soul, which seeks to lead them astray, does not divert them from their path. To help with this, humans have been given five responsibilities. In the framework of these responsibilities, our Lord has established a great system in this world. Humans have a conscience that guides them on what is right and wrong. Alongside this, wise individuals also come to guide and train humanity.
The five responsibilities are as follows:
1. Crest believes that there is a Creator for the entire world and that there is life after death. If a person walks the right path in this world, they will find happiness in this world and life after death. Conversely, if they follow the wrong path, they will face destruction in this world and life after death.
2. Learning goodness.
3. Educating others to become good
4. Doing good deeds in society.
5. Continue to strive until your last effort so that in your family, community, and the entire world, there will be such an atmosphere of promoting goodness and doing good deeds, that every individual in the family, community and the entire world is continually educated about these five responsibilities, and no one would be deprived of food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and other basic happiness.
The fifth responsibility is particularly important because it is such a responsibility that elevates humans above all other creations. If a person fulfils only the first four responsibilities, the evil souls do not feel threatened, as simply fulfilling these tasks does not make someone a superior creature. It does not lead to true prosperity in life. The evil soul will work diligently to keep individuals limited to just these four responsibilities. However, those who strive to fulfil the fifth responsibility will distance themselves from the reach of evil souls and draw closer to their noble souls, coming under the special protection of their Lord. Sometimes, evil souls may cause distress to these noble individuals through those close to them, but their Lord grants them the strength to endure those challenges, preventing them from being swayed from their path. This happens only to those whom the Lord tests specially.
The Fifth Responsibility from a Worldly Perspective
Noble King- It seems that the fifth responsibility does not promise wealth for
individuals, so how will everyone achieve happiness, And especially for those who do not have faith in the Lord, why would they accept our words?
Noble Soul- Even those individuals have a conscience that distinguishes right from wrong. Alongside this, a noble soul is guiding them, reminding them to fulfill the fifth responsibility. They, too, should work on fulfilling this responsibility for several reasons:
First Reason - The resources available for a prosperous life in this world include air, soil, water, stones, metals, vegetables, crops, trees, and items created by humans through their skills, such as doctors, artisans, teachers, laborers, farmers, and traders. Naturally, these resources have always existed according to the human population. However, they are distributed unevenly across different places. For human life to be prosperous, individuals must trade these resources with one another through money, bartering, or assistance. Moreover, humans naturally have relationships, such as familial, social, and business ties. Now consider that if we were to eliminate wrongdoing among the people of the world, it is evident that compassion, trust, honesty, and truthfulness would flourish in society. In such an environment, there would be integrity in the exchange of goods and resources, and people would assist the needy. In this atmosphere, there would be no extreme wealth or poverty. The world would be characterized by equality, and people would be content with their prosperous lives, leading to lasting peace in the world.
Second Reason: Without the environment created by the fifth responsibility, individuals tend to accumulate unnecessary resources, such as food, clothing, shelter etc., leading to waste. If people allocate their surplus resources to those in need, a significant number of the less fortunate can have their needs met. This is achievable through the environment established by the fifth responsibility.
Third Reason - Circumstances do not remain the same. As a result, people often become accustomed to the blessings they receive. When situations worsen, there will be a shortage of resources; for instance, if the wealthy become very poor, it becomes difficult for them to navigate this environment. Additionally, people are not uniform in terms of age and health; illness and old age can create situations where, without proper resources, living becomes challenging. The fifth responsibility maintains equality in society, allowing the sick, elderly, and needy to receive compassion, ensuring that everyone’s life remains prosperous. I hope you have understood the importance of the fifth responsibility.
How to Uphold the Fifth Responsibility:
Noble King:-For an individual, leading their family according to the fifth responsibility is quite challenging, let alone those in their community. How can one ensure that all of humanity adheres to this?
Noble Soul:- You see religions spread across every corner of the world. The goal of every religious leader has been the same: to guide people to live according to the
fifth responsibility. This task has reached the farthest corners of the world, proving that it is possible through sincere efforts and dedication. However, over time, people have forgotten the fifth responsibility, and new leaders have emerged. Today, this guidance is entrusted to you. It is your responsibility, as well as that of people around the world, to make every effort possible within your means to uphold these five responsibilities. Once you have given your all, your duty ends, and you will find your Lord close to you, enabling your efforts to succeed. Nevertheless, you must continue to work with the mindset that whether people heed your words or not, your life will be successful both in this world and the next.
Qualities of Those Who Fulfill the Fifth Responsibility:
Noble King:- If a person fulfills the fifth responsibility, what will their daily life be like,
allowing others to recognize them as a superior being?"
Noble Soul: A superior being will live like ordinary people in this world, fulfilling their family responsibilities well and ensuring their happiness. The most significant quality will be that they will maintain their thankfulness and patience if they are poor. and if they are wealthy, they will only possess as much wealth as is necessary for their fundamental needs and those of their family, not striving for excessive riches. If wealth does come their way, they will distribute the excess among those in need. Whatever they do, they will consider their family and the people of the world. If they engage in commerce or harvesting from the forests, they will not exploit the forest. They will take care of the environment and work hard to plant new trees."
Qualities of Those Who Do Not Fulfill the Five Responsibilities:
Noble King:-Now tell me, what is the typical life like for those who do not embody the best creation of the creator?
Noble Soul:- A person's failure to be the best creation is primarily due to a devil's soul. Their identification lies in the fact that those who are poor often behavior immense jealousy, ingratitude, and envy toward others. This negativity drives them to commit wrongdoings in pursuit of wealth, leading them to the extremes of evil. Those who are wealthy also experience immense jealousy, ingratitude, and envy, but in addition, their negative spirit makes them excessively greedy, resulting in a perpetual state of dissatisfaction. Even when they have everything, they always want to surpass others in beauty, clothing, health, property, and wealth. Such individuals spend their entire lives chasing after these superficial measures, and when death approaches, they remain engrossed in their pursuits. In such circumstances, most people in the world engage in spending beyond their means to compete with others and display their wealth, leading them into unmanageable debts or involving themselves in unethical methods to accumulate wealth. This behavior ultimately leads them into greater troubles and difficulties.
Noble Soul:-Your Majesty, now you must fulfill the fifth responsibility in this world, and I hope you have found answers to all your questions.
The Fifth responsibility is not beyond the people's capabilities:
Noble King: I no longer have any questions or excuses for not fulfilling the fifth responsibility. I will devote all my wealth and efforts to it.
*Noble Soul:- In addition to your responsibilities towards your family and relatives, you must also fulfil the fifth responsibility. Now the Noble Soul states, "Your Majesty, this concludes our meeting in this form of human.
Noble King: I will strive to fulfill this task according to my Lord's command. After this, the Noble Soul says, "My time with you in this form has come to an end," and then he disappears.
After meeting the Noble Soul, the Noble King returns to his palace
After meeting the Noble Soul, the Noble King returns to his palace to discuss the fifth responsibility with his advisors and scholars. The next day, he issues a decree for all the wise men and high officials of his kingdom to gather at his court.
On that day, everyone assembles in the court.
Noble King:- Today is not just an important day for this kingdom but also a day of great news for the entire world. Before I share my thoughts, I would like to ask you some questions. You are all well aware of the conditions in this kingdom and in the world; there is no happiness to be found anywhere. Whether in places where religion is highly followed or barely acknowledged, happiness is absent. Wars continue between nations, and revolts occur within nations. Additionally, high officials constantly face threats. There is hatred between nation and nation, city and city, village and village, brother and brother, sister and sister, husband and wife. Kings are in fear, officials are in fear, and the common people are in fear, as are businessmen and traders. Aren't you all tired of this situation?"
Everyone replied, "Yes, Your Majesty, we are all extremely weary of this life. Both the oppressor and the oppressed, the righteous and the wronged all are deeply troubled by this way of life."
Noble King - Shall I share with you the best solution to these troubles?
After this, the Noble King shares his encounter with the Noble Soul. He then leaves the court for a while, instructing everyone to discuss and determine the next steps.
When the King returns, one of his wise men says, "Your Majesty, we all completely agree with your statements. Today we learned that the troubles faced by humanity stem from neglecting the fifth responsibility. This is why, despite the presence of religion, people are not happy. However, Your Majesty, if we educate people about humanity through religion, there are many religions in the world, and then the fifth responsibility can be linked to our faith. Therefore, we shall not name this task as a religious duty. Instead, we will emphasize that we all need to believe in our Creator and acknowledge the afterlife, learn humanity, perform humane deeds, and create a humane environment. The Noble King is very pleased with this.
Law to implement fifth responsibility:
Noble King: Now, you will suggest how we can establish laws in our kingdom to ensure that, as soon as possible, every province, city, and village begins to implement these five responsibilities. You all take a month to consult among yourselves and then inform me.
After the consultations, everyone reassembles in the King’s court, and one of the wise men says, Your Majesty, we have agreed that:
we will start implementing this work from the smallest governing unit, which is the village, and strengthen it from there.
Before that, we need to provide training to the governors of each province in this regard. Following that, we will train the governing officers of each city and, subsequently, those of each village. If any governor or governing officers do not show improvement through this training, we will replace them with a trained governor.
After the training, we will also appoint two scholars to work alongside each governing officer of the village.
One scholar will be responsible for education in the village, while the other will manage education in the local prisoners' center.
We will give the governing officer of the village a certain period, after which we will enforce the law that if anyone in the village commits wrongdoing, the village governing officer will be held accountable. This means the village governing officer failed to properly train the people, leading to their mistakes.
Correction Facility: Each village will have a correction facility, which will not be an ordinary jail. Instead, it will be a place where the negative aspects of individuals will be addressed, helping them become better people. Once the negative traits are eradicated, they will be honorably released.
Among the teachers assigned to the village governing officer, one will be responsible for imparting education in the correction facility.
Educational Center: Additionally, there will be a designated place in the village where people can receive education on the five responsibilities. The second teacher will be responsible for teaching the five responsibilities at this location.
Regular Education-The second teacher will be responsible for calling the villagers to this educational center twice a day, providing them with short lessons every day.
Family Responsibilities- In families, the elder member will be entrusted with the responsibility of educating family members about the five responsibilities. If any family member deviates towards wrongdoing, the elder must inform the village governing officer. If the individual does not heed the advice, they will be placed in the correction facility for rehabilitation.
External Educators: For those who do not reside in a family, the village governing officer will appoint a wise individual from the community to be responsible for educating them on becoming better people. Marriage of Adults: Arrangements will be made for the marriage of all eligible boys and girls in the village.
Community Support:- No individual in the village should be homeless, hungry, or needy; the villagers will work together to ensure this, in addition to any governmental aid.
Additional Laws- Other beneficial laws will be established as needed. Accountability of the Governing officer. The village governor will be responsible for ensuring that every individual in the village receives education on the five responsibilities. If someone commits wrongdoing, the governor will investigate who was responsible for educating that individual about the five responsibilities. The governor will then question the responsible person and the teacher to understand why this individual went astray and why the teachings were not properly conveyed. If there was a failure on the part of the responsible individual or the teacher, the governor would send them all to the correction facility for re-education; if not, only the offending individual will be sent.
Overall Responsibility- The village governing officer will be accountable for the proper education of the public in the five responsibilities, ensuring their well-being and happiness.
In the court, the wise men presented these laws to the Noble King, asking for his feedback. Upon hearing their proposals, the Noble King was very pleased and implemented these laws. As a result of diligently implementing the five responsibilities throughout the country, immense prosperity ensues, bringing joy to the King as he fulfills his significant duties.
Condition of the world after implementing the fifth responsibility
When all the villages begin to invest substantial effort into these responsibilities, life becomes enjoyable for the people. Subsequently, the Noble King also sends his people to educate others in different countries about the five responsibilities, leading to widespread prosperity across the world. This prosperity manifests in the following ways:
1. Husbands find good wives, and wives find good husbands.
2. Parents receive obedient children, and children have responsible parents.
3. Happiness prevails within families.
4. Marriages become easier and occur on time.
5. Fear and distrust among people diminish.
6. Business owners refrain from adulterating their goods and offer fair prices.
7. Buyers collaborate with sellers to prevent losses, ensuring businesses thrive.
8. Special care is given to the treatment and support of the poor, the elderly, and the disabled.
9. Education for poor children is provided free of charge.
10. Displays of arrogance and envy among officials and people cease.
11. The public is satisfied with their rulers, and rulers are content with their citizens.
Death of The Noble King:
As time passes, the Noble King grows old, and one day he passes away. After his death, when he reaches the heavens, he sees a long line of people, and he stands in that line as well. In front of him is the place of justice, where righteous souls are present. On one side, there is a distant door leading to a place of immense happiness, and on the other side, there is a terrifying door leading to great punishment. Those moving towards the righteous souls are elegantly escorted to the place of happiness, while those heading toward the terrifying punishment are dragged away in fear, screaming for mercy and forgiveness. Many individuals enter a place of immense happiness, while very few are led to dreadful punishment. When it is the Noble King’s turn, all the righteous souls honour him, giving him joyous news and praising his deeds. With great respect, he is escorted to the place of happiness. The Noble King happily resides in the place of immense joy, observing countless others arriving there as well. Seeing this brings him great joy. Observing Justice for Those Who Have Died and Come to the World: of after death.
As time passes, the number of people arriving at the place of immense happiness decreases, while the number heading toward the terrifying punishment increases. After 1,000 years, very few people enter the place of happiness, while countless souls are led to the place of terrible punishment. Seeing this, the Noble King wishes to understand why this is happening, so he decides to visit the place of justice. He seeks permission from the righteous souls to go there, and he is granted access. He is informed that he will be able to see the individuals but that they will not see him. The King stands quietly in the back of the line.
At the place of judgment - Individual Who Gave Education in the Village About the Five Responsibilities:
Now, the King listens to the words of a man standing in line. In the place of justice, a righteous soul addresses the man, saying, “Your Lord sent you into the world to fulfill the five responsibilities and become an exemplary creature. However, you disobeyed your Lord and treated this world as a permanent life, which is why you are sent to the place of terrible punishment.
Do you have anything to say in your defense?
The man responds You are making a mistake. please examine my life carefully. I was a simple and truly virtuous person. The righteous soul replies, “We have seen that there was immense injustice around you, with countless people homeless due to circumstances, suffering because they could not receive treatment, and lacking proper clothing.
You made no effort to help them, nor did you express any regret for their suffering.
The man replies, “Do you not know that I was a memorizer of the book of the five responsibilities?”
The righteous soul acknowledges, “Yes, I know. But despite your education, you did not fulfill the five responsibilities.”
The man insists, “Do you not know that I was a researcher of the book of the five responsibilities?”
The righteous soul responds, “Yes, we are aware, but this did not benefit anyone in the world.
The man continues, “Do you not know that I used to call people twice a day to come and listen to the teachings of the five responsibilities?”
The righteous soul responds, “Yes, we know. You received a salary for that, and it was your job.
The man states, “I would go to the educational institution of the village every day to teach people about the five responsibilities.”
The righteous soul acknowledges this but points out that despite this, there was still significant wrongdoing in society.
The man argues, “Do you not know that I visited the Noble King’s house once a year?”
The righteous soul counters, “This did not benefit society at all.
The man says, “I would often go hungry for ten days a year, during which I would read and narrate the entire book on the five responsibilities to people.
The righteous soul responds, “The book was in a language that was ancient and not understood today. Therefore, no one could comprehend or act upon it.
The righteous soul continues, “Now you have made many excuses. Please tell me what the five responsibilities were for becoming an exemplary creature.”
1. Convincing your society that there is a Creator of all, that there is life after death, and that there is both paradise and punishment. If a person walks the righteous path, they will attain paradise; if they go astray, they will face punishment.
2. Learning and promoting humanity within your society to become a good person.
3. Educating others in your society to become good people.
4. Working collectively for the betterment of humanity within your society.
5. Continuously striving, throughout your life, to create an environment in which everyone receives education about fulfilling the five responsibilities and where no one suffers from a lack of food, clothing, shelter, or medical treatment.
The righteous soul asserts, “You only taught and learned the educational aspects but did not fulfil the responsibilities. You did not achieve the objective of these responsibilities.”
The man defends himself, saying, “What you are saying is difficult; creating goodness and a positive environment is a challenging task. People only listen to words of blessings. They only visit the educational place twice a day, read books once a year, and occasionally provide food to the poor and needy. Creating an environment of goodness is very difficult; I cannot do it myself, and neither can my children, my wife, or my relatives.”
The righteous soul questions, “Why did you visit the Noble King’s house? Why do people come to hear your words at the educational institutions?”
The man responds, “Because we all know that during the reign of the Noble King and for many years afterwards, the world was prosperous. If we honour him, our work and wealth will flourish.”
The righteous soul challenges, “What did the Noble King and the people of that time do to create such a prosperous society?
The man explains, “It was different then; the law was that humanity should exist in every village, every family, and in the hearts of every individual, and that society should be based on humanity, with people caring for each other deeply. There were no poor children left because everyone valued the five responsibilities, which improved conditions across the countries.”
The righteous soul inquires, “Were the good conditions created by the efforts of the Noble King and the people?”
The man responds, “The Noble King never sat idle; he always worked tirelessly, as did the people of that time.”
The righteous soul points out, “In the life you lived, your salary was good, and your work was easier. Were you not happy then?
The man admits, “I was not happy; the societal environment was terrible. I lived in constant fear and anxiety about being robbed or killed.”
The righteous soul asks, “What condition did you leave your children in?”
The man replies, “In a bad environment, I will leave them in a bad situation.”
The righteous soul remarks, “You worked hard your entire life for your children’s happiness, yet you left them in a terrible environment. Did you not believe that by creating a good atmosphere, your lineage would prosper even after your death?”
The man confesses, “As for the happiness of my children, the biggest obstacle to creating a good environment comes from their wives, children, and family. They are the first to criticize them.”
The righteous soul replies, “This hardship was what you needed to endure, so your righteous soul could help you, and your Lord could be near you. Then, you would have attained happiness in this world and the place of immense happiness after death.”
The man admits I understand your words; please forgive me. The righteous soul states, “You were sent into the world to become an exemplary creature, but you did not fulfil this responsibility. Thus, you are subjected to terrible punishment. However, before this, we will send you to another court where every good deed from your worldly life will be weighed. There, your sins will be measured against your good deeds. If your good deeds outweigh your sins, you will be sent to a place of immense happiness; if your sins are heavier, you will be sent to a place of terrible punishment. After this, the man is taken to the other court.
At the Place of judgement - The Poor Man from the Village Who Came to the Place of Justice:
Now, at the place of justice, another man arrives.
The righteous soul says, “You were sent into the world to become the best among all creatures, for which you were given inner understanding and external training. However, you did not
fulfill the fifth responsibility; Therefore, you are sent to the place of terrible punishment. Do you have anything to say in your defense?”
The man replies, “Please don’t say that. I was just a poor man; I had no proper home, food, clothing, medical care, etc.
The righteous soul asks, Did you receive the education of the five responsibilities?
The man responds, Yes, I did. I used to go daily to the place of education regarding the five responsibilities, where I have been listening to the teachings and then sitting outside to beg for alms.
The righteous soul questions, If the environment of the fifth responsibility existed, would you still be poor?
The man answers, Certainly not.
The righteous soul continues, Did you not believe that by fulfilling the fifth responsibility, the good spirit would come to your aid, and your Creator would be pleased with you, granting you the place of immense happiness? In this world, everything needed for a prosperous life would easily come to you. Did you not believe this?
The man responds, Yes, I believe it.
The righteous soul asks, Then why did you not fulfil the fifth responsibility?
The man explains, “I walked to the Noble King’s house and visited it. I used to go daily to the place where, during the time of the Noble King, a prison was built for the teachings of the five responsibilities. which is now a site of pilgrimage
There I used to clean the area.
The righteous soul questions, “This did not remove the evil spirit from within you. The evil spirit was leading you to terrible punishment. To replace the evil spirit with the good spirit, you need to fulfill the fifth responsibility. Why did you not do this?
The man replies I was a poor man. It was very difficult for anyone to listen to me.
The righteous soul responds This difficulty was your path to success, both in your worldly life and in the hereafter. You should have made some effort. You could have strived to the utmost limit. Whether or not people listened to you, your entire life could have transformed into goodness, and you would have become the best of creation, drawing closer to your Lord.
The man contends, “Not You met people daily, including your family. You could have discussed the environment of the five responsibilities with them. The lack of an environment of the five responsibilities led to the blessings and provisions provided by nature being hoarded by a few powerful individuals, causing others to suffer.
The righteous soul continues, If the environment of the five responsibilities would existed, at your time, then you, your family, and all the people of the world would always have remained prosperous. Were you not aware of this?
The man admits I knew all of this. However, I did not take action because fulfilling the five responsibilities seemed very difficult.
The righteous soul asks, “Did you never feel restless about not fulfilling the five responsibilities and thus displeasing your Lord?
The man replies, Please forgive me; I made a grave mistake.
The righteous soul states, “From my side, a terrible punishment is declared against you. However, we will still send another court. There, the deeds of goodness and evil from your worldly life will be weighed. If your good deeds outweigh your sins, you will attain the place of immense happiness.
After this, the man is taken to the other court.

At the place of judgment - The King of the New Era Who Came to the Place of Justice:
Now, another person arrives at the place of justice.
The righteous soul says, “You were sent into the world to become the best of creation, for which you were given inner understanding and external training. However, you did not fulfill the fifth responsibility, so a terrible punishment is declared against you. Do you have anything to say in your defense?
The man replies, What are you saying? The good I have done is immeasurable; you would tire of counting it. When I took the throne, more than half the people in our country had followers of the elder son of the noble king, while I and our tribe were very few. We were followers of the younger son of the noble king. The people who followed the elder son were continuously rebelling to bring their ideology into power. However, my tribe and I united all the people to recognize the younger son of the noble king. All neighboring countries acknowledged the elder son, and we conquered those lands, persuading their people to recognize the younger son of the noble king as well.
The righteous soul counters, “Your kingdom was rife with countless crimes and unimaginable poverty. You were supposed to serve the people as the best creation through the teachings of the noble king, but you neglected this duty and became entangled in the ideologies of his sons. Why?
The man explains, People before me were doing the same, so I followed suit. Additionally, I made the noble king's house even more magnificent. which was a site of pilgrimage, I arranged for better facilities for people to stay and dine around it.”
The righteous soul states, In that place, countless helpless people were begging for their sustenance. Their conditions were extremely difficult. If you had worked on the fifth responsibility, both their conditions and yours would have improved. What did you not do for the fifth responsibility?
The man replies, “I revived the ruins where the noble king and the righteous soul first met, building palaces around it for the people's pilgrimage.”
The righteous soul responds, “That’s good, but at that place, countless poor people were begging for their survival. What did you do for the fifth responsibility?”
The man defends, “I imposed the death penalty on numerous murderers, harsh punishments on countless thieves, and strict penalties on many wrongdoers.”
The righteous soul
remarks, “Despite that, your kingdom remained plagued by countless crimes; neither the people nor you were safe. Tell me, why do people commit wrongdoing?”
The king of the new era answers, “When the evil spirit overcomes a person.”
The righteous soul responds, “You put much effort into punishing people, but if you had encouraged them to become better humans, you would have been happy, and so would the people. What did you do for the fifth responsibility?”
The man replies, “I found many prisons of the noble king era where teachings of fifth responsibility happened and that prison was in very bad condition I magnified them and made places of pilgrimage.
The righteous soul asks, What did the noble king mean by prisons?
The man explains, “Those who failed to become better people through their families and the teachings of the fifth responsibility teachers, should be imprisoned, where they would be given proper education to transform into better humans, and afterward, they would be released with honor.”
The righteous soul questions, “Then why did you maintain the prison system for punishment?
The man replies Since I became king, the system has been the same.
The righteous soul asks again, What did you do for the fifth responsibility?
The man explains, “During the reign of the noble king’s grandson, there was a kingdom where the king was very tyrannical. The people there asked the noble king’s grandson to come and enforce the fifth responsibility, promising their support. When the grandson arrived, he began to implement the fifth responsibility. However, the king of that land feared that this could lead to a rebellion against his rule and
sentenced him to death. Yet, not a single person stood up in defense of the noble king's grandson. I made the grandson’s grave a magnificent site of pilgrimage.”
The righteous soul asks, If the noble king's grandson were to come back to your kingdom alive today, what would you do?
The king of the new era replies, I would welcome him wholeheartedly.
The righteous soul points out, “Yet, you imposed restrictions on those working for the fifth responsibility in your own kingdom. Why?
The king of the new era responds, “Because there was a threat to the government from them. But they were not the noble king’s grandson.”
The righteous soul asserts, “The effort was still to promote the fifth responsibility. This proves that even if the noble king’s grandson had come, you would
have acted the same way.”
The righteous soul continues, “What does the book of the fifth responsibility say about the teachings of the fifth responsibility and the prison system?”
The man responds, “According to the book, nothing was being
implemented.”
The righteous soul inquires, “Were you happy as a king?
The king replies, “Absolutely not, nor was I, nor any other king today, nor anyone with fame or power; no wealthy person was truly happy. Everyone lived in a state of terrible fear, afraid of losing their wealth or facing danger to their lives. The world was filled with so much fear and restlessness that more than half the people were indulging in intoxication. Humanity was in extreme turmoil. Ultimately, I became convinced that true happiness for people could only come from creating an environment of the fifth responsibility. But establishing a better environment was extremely difficult, which is why I couldn't accomplish this challenging task.
The righteous soul asks, Was this task more difficult than being a king?
The man replies, “No, please forgive me; I made a huge mistake.
The righteous soul states, “If you had fulfilled the fifth responsibility, how would you have lived in this world?”
The king responds, Just as the noble king and the kings of that era lived, without fear from opponents, the people, or neighboring kingdoms. Love and compassion would surround us from all sides.
The righteous soul concludes, “You are guilty of countless crimes, countless people suffering helplessly, and you failed to fulfill the teachings of the fifth responsibility. Therefore, a terrible punishment awaits you. However, we will send you to another court where your deeds of goodness and evil will be weighed. If your good deeds outweigh your sins, you will be granted a place of immense happiness; if your sins are heavier, you will receive a place of terrible punishment.”
After this, the man is taken to the other court.

At the place of judgment - The Simple Man from the Village Who Came to the Place of Justice:
The righteous soul says You were sent into the world to become the best of creation. For this, you were given inner understanding and external training, but you still failed to fulfill the fifth responsibility. Therefore, a terrible punishment is declared against you. Do you have anything to say in your defense?
The man replies, “How can this be? I lived my whole life without caring for others; I only focused on my children and family. I went to learn about the fifth responsibility twice a day and spent the rest of my time with my family. I was never involved in any wrongdoing, and I maintained my dress and food in a manner worthy of the noble king.”
The righteous soul responds, “That may be true, but tell me, were your children and family members just like you, simple and
gentle?”
The man answers, “No, I already told you that I didn't have any involvement with anyone; they lived their lives however they wished.”
The righteous soul asks, “How did you live in the world?”
The man replies, “Very well, very happily.”
The righteous soul inquires, “Did you embody the best creation according to the teachings of the fifth responsibility?”
The man claims, “I was a good being; you can judge for yourself. I was very peaceful in the world; I had no ties with anyone. I often went hungry for ten days in a year, but when it was time for the fifth responsibility, I would be the first to arrive. I always visited the noble king's house for pilgrimage. My entire life was filled with goodness and peace.”
The righteous soul prompts, “Tell me about the five responsibilities.”
The man responds, “Certainly, listen:
1. In your society, believe together that there is a creator of this entire world, that there is life after death, and that there is paradise as well as a terrible punishment. If a person walks on the
righteous path, they will receive the best rewards, and if they go astray, they will face severe consequences.
2. Together in your society, learn humanity and become good people.
3. Together in your society, teach one another to be good people and help each other become better.
4. Work together in your society for the betterment of humanity.
5. Continue to strive together until your last breath to create an environment in your surroundings and the world where everyone continuously receives the teachings of the five responsibilities, ensuring that no one in your society or the world is helpless regarding food, clothing, shelter, or medical care.”
The righteous soul asks many people were helpless in your surroundings, suffering from old age, illness, hunger, and lacking the teachings of the five responsibilities? What did you do about this?”
The man replies, “I was happy; if people were helpless, what could I do? I would distribute money to people once a year and invite the poor for meals.”
The righteous soul challenges, “What did you do for the fifth responsibility?”
The man says, “I understand what you are saying.” (He begins to cry.) “The fifth responsibility was a very difficult task. I tried to create an environment at home, but my wife and children started calling me crazy. Outside, it was the same. I asked the scholars of the fifth responsibility and my friends how to please God, and they all told me to do what they did, to focus on blessed deeds, and that the noble king would intercede with God for us. They said just take care of my own affairs and live a peaceful life.”
The righteous soul inquires, “What did the noble king and the people of that era do?”
The man replies, “They were the noble king and that was his time.”
The righteous soul responds, “If you had endured some hardships in trying to fulfill the fifth responsibility, your righteous soul would have been with you, and help would have come from your Lord. You would have become the best of creation in this world, and after death, you would have received a place of immense happiness.”
The man pleads, “Please forgive me; I made a huge mistake.”
The righteous soul concludes, “You are sentenced to a terrible punishment. However, I will send you to another court where your deeds of goodness and evil will be weighed. If your good deeds outweigh your sins, you will be granted a place of immense happiness; if your sins are heavier, you will face a terrible punishment.”
After this, the man is taken to the other court.
